Who We Are
As a young child, Isak Meissner was fascinated with the idea of using one’s own hands to build functional structures from scratch. Some of his first projects in 1990 that included three 16' door skin kayaks and a 30' river boat named Klara he helped built with his father. This was the beginning of his love for designing and building. Later in his teens he helped build some of the original elevated mountain biking platforms, stunts, jumps and trails on Cypress, Fromme and Seymour Mountainsin North Vancouver, some of which still stand today.
In 2003, the founding of Leftcoast Woodwork Designs Ltd. turned this dream into a business reality. In the early days of Leftcoast we had a shop in North Vancouver and primarily built custom kitchens, furniture and commercial millwork for companies like Herman Miller, Apple, Inform Interiors, Inform Projects and private clients to name a few. Over the years Leftcoast went from fixtures and products to management and consulting. Providing companies and clients with a one stop shop of services including project management, construction management, site management, industry leading qualified consultants and trades, our team of seasoned builders and installers.
